About Mount Harris
Mount Harris is a remote rural locality in the Far West and Orana region of New South Wales, located about 424 kilometres from Sydney in the Warren Shire. The landscape of flat to gently undulating rural terrain typical of far-western New South Wales supports grazing on native vegetation as the dominant land use within the Macquarie River catchment. Part of the traditional lands of the Aboriginal peoples of the Macquarie region, the area was opened up for pastoral settlement in the 19th century.
