About Murrawombie

Murrawombie is a remote locality in the Far West and Orana region of New South Wales, about 45 kilometres north-west of Nyngan. It is semi-arid pastoral country used for sheep and cattle grazing on large station properties, and was the site of the Murrawombie open-pit copper mine, which operated from 1993 to 2002.
