About Avisford

Avisford is a small rural locality in the Mid-Western Regional Council area of New South Wales, in the Central West region near Mudgee. The Meroo River, a tributary of the Macquarie River in the Murray-Darling basin, flows through the locality along with Goorangoore Creek. The area supports farmland and grazing properties on the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range, and the Avisford Nature Reserve protects a significant area of native bushland.
