About Lyons (ACT)
Lyons is a suburb in the Woden Valley district of Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, about 8 kilometres south of the city centre. It is named after Joseph Lyons, the tenth Prime Minister of Australia, and its streets are named after locations in Tasmania. The hilly suburb sits alongside Oakey Hill Nature Reserve on its western side.
