About Colebrook

Colebrook is a rural locality and town in the Southern Midlands local government area of Tasmania, about 29 kilometres south of Oatlands. It was formerly known as Jerusalem; in 1894 the Jerusalem post office was renamed Colebrook, with corresponding changes to the names of the railway stations. The South railway line passes through the town, and the B31 route (Mud Walls Road / Colebrook Road) runs through it. A Catholic monastery, Notre Dame Priory, was established a kilometre south of the town in 2019.
