About Rhyndaston

Rhyndaston is a rural locality in the local government area (LGA) of Southern Midlands in the Central LGA region of Tasmania, about 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of the town of Oatlands. The locality is best known for the Rhyndaston Rail Tunnel, a 955-metre tunnel built between 1873 and 1876 on the main rail line linking Hobart and Launceston.
