About Myaree
Myaree is a predominantly light industrial suburb in the City of Melville, Perth, Western Australia, located 11 kilometres from the Perth central business district. The name derives from an Aboriginal word meaning foliage. Developed in the 1950s, the suburb has a distinctive naming convention with roads named after soldiers killed in World War I and early settlers in the area. Unlike most suburbs in the City of Melville, Myaree is primarily light industrial rather than residential. The suburb is served by several bus routes including the high-frequency Route 915 along Marmion Street connecting to Fremantle Station and Bull Creek Station.
