About Port Franklin
Port Franklin is a small fishing village in South Gippsland, Victoria, about 182 km south-east of Melbourne, on the banks of the Franklin River between Toora and Foster. The river is lined with commercial fishing boats and pleasure craft, and its historic wharf was once a busy hub for shipping timber and produce.
