About Beveridge

Beveridge is a town in Victoria, Australia, 37 km (23 mi) north of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Whittlesea and the Shire of Mitchell local government areas. It is principally known as the birthplace of bushranger Ned Kelly, who was born in December 1854 on the Kelly family farm near Big Hill, now known as Mount Fraser, an eroded extinct volcanic cone from which explorers Hume and Hovell first saw Port Phillip in 1824.
