About Katunga
Katunga is a rural town in the Goulburn Valley region of northern Victoria. Its railway station on the Goulburn Valley line opened in 1888 and closed to passengers in 1978, though the rail-served grain silo remains. Dairying and irrigated agriculture anchor the local economy, and the town supports a primary school and the Katunga Football Club, which competes in the Picola and District Football League.
