About Mildura
Mildura is a regional city in north-west Victoria, Australia, located on the Victorian side of the Murray River. Its name is derived from an Aboriginal term for red earth, and the town grew from Australia's first irrigation colony, established in 1887 by the Canadian-born Chaffey brothers. Mildura is the centre of the Sunraysia district, a leading producer of citrus, dried fruits and wine grapes.
