About Altona North
Altona North is a suburb in the west of Melbourne, about 10 kilometres from the central business district, within the City of Hobsons Bay, with Kororoit Creek forming much of its southern and western boundary. The eastern part is a residential area with a radiating street layout planned in the 1920s, while the western side is one of Melbourne's main industrial areas, home to petrochemical plants and the former Toyota assembly plant.
