About Brooklyn (Vic.)
Brooklyn is a largely industrial suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, about 10 kilometres west of the central business district in the Cities of Brimbank and Hobsons Bay. It contains logistics and distribution centres, car yards and a landfill and recycling centre, along with the heritage-listed former Huntsman chemical plant. The Newport-Sunshine freight railway line passes through, and the Federation Trail cycle and walking path starts in the suburb.
