About Faulconbridge
Faulconbridge is a village in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, about 77 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district. It is named after Faulconbridge House, the residence built for Sir Henry Parkes, the Father of Federation, who moved there in 1877; the name was his mother's maiden name, and Parkes is buried in Faulconbridge Cemetery. The village is also home to the Norman Lindsay Gallery and Museum, and Ticehurst Park preserves a notable group of Aboriginal rock carvings including two emus.
