About Binalong
Binalong is a village in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, 37 km north-west of Yass in the Yass Valley Shire. Its historic centre retains colonial-era buildings, and the village is remembered for bushranger Johnny Gilbert, who died there, and for poet Banjo Paterson, whose father is buried in the local cemetery.
