About Westonia

Westonia is a small town in the eastern Wheatbelt of Western Australia, 314 kilometres east of Perth and the main town in the Shire of Westonia. Gold was discovered in the area in 1910 by prospector Alfred Weston, and the town retains heritage character from its gold rush origins; today grain farming and sheep grazing have largely replaced mining.
