About Namban
Namban is a rural locality in the Shire of Three Springs of the Wheat Belt region of Western Australia, located north of Moora and southeast of Watheroo National Park. The landscape features flat to gently undulating wheatbelt country in the northern agricultural region with a semi-arid climate receiving about 300 to 375 millimetres of annual rainfall, supporting broadacre grain cropping and sheep grazing. The broader Three Springs district was first traversed by Europeans in 1839 and explored for pastoral runs by the Gregory brothers in 1846, with the townsite founded around 1906.
