About Northampton

Northampton is a town in the Mid West region of Western Australia, 52 kilometres north of Geraldton. Originally known as The Mines, the town was gazetted in 1864 and named after Governor John Hampton. It was linked to Geraldton by railway in 1874, and it contains a National Trust-listed building.
