About Bowes

Bowes is a remote pastoral locality in the Shire of Northampton within Western Australia's Mid West region, situated approximately 70 kilometres north of Geraldton along the North West Coastal Highway. The locality takes its name from the Bowes River, named by explorer George Grey in 1839 after Mary Bowes, Dowager Countess of Strathmore. Bowes is within reach of Kalbarri National Park.
