About Lockier

Lockier is a small rural locality in the Mid West region of Western Australia, just west of the town of Mingenew. The Lockier River, which flows through it, was named for Lockier Clare Burges, a pioneering pastoralist of the district. Ruins of the stone Lockier River Farm Homestead, built in the 1870s, remain beside the river, and the locality once had a siding on the Midland railway line.
