About Yarragadee
Yarragadee is a rural locality in the Shire of Mingenew in the Mid West region of Western Australia, about 100 kilometres south-east of Geraldton. It is home to the Yarragadee Geodetic Observatory, a space geodesy site operated by Geoscience Australia that has hosted NASA's MOBLAS 5 satellite laser ranging station since 1979 and, since 2010, all four major space geodetic systems. The nearby Yarragadee Station, a cattle station established before 1886, runs along the Irwin River.
