About Fimiston

Fimiston is a locality on the south-eastern edge of Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, a residential area that grew on the gold-rich Golden Mile leases. The locality lends its name to the Fimiston Open Pit, the huge gold mine known as the Super Pit, which was the largest open-cut gold mine in Australia until 2015.
