About Mulataga
Mulataga is a locality in the City of Karratha in Western Australia's Pilbara region, identified as a major urban expansion area for the town of Karratha. Under the State Government's Mulataga Structure Plan it was earmarked for new housing for about 3,900 people, with the drainage corridors of Mulataga Creek kept as open space for their ecological and cultural values. Planning reached its peak in 2012 before stalling in the property downturn of 2013-14, and the land remains largely undeveloped.
