About Burrup
Burrup is a locality in the City of Karratha covering the Burrup Peninsula, a rugged headland on the Pilbara coast of Western Australia. Once an island known as Dampier Island, the peninsula, called Murujuga by traditional owners, carries one of the world's largest collections of ancient rock art and includes Murujuga National Park.
