About White Gum Valley

White Gum Valley is a compact inner-suburban locality within the City of Fremantle, 3 kilometres south of Fremantle town centre. Named for the white gum eucalyptus trees that once dominated the valley, it is one of the smallest suburbs in the Fremantle local government area. The suburb is nationally recognised for the WGV sustainable housing development, a DevelopmentWA project focused on innovative urban infill design, and offers walkable streets with community green spaces and proximity to South Beach.
