About Beeliar
Beeliar is a modern residential suburb about 20 km south of Perth's CBD in the City of Cockburn. The name derives from the Beeliar Noongar people of the Whadjuk nation who inhabited the area. Known for the Beeliar Regional Park and its significant wetlands system, including Thomsons Lake Nature Reserve and Kogolup Lake, the suburb contains 406 native taxa and holds deep spiritual and cultural significance for Noongar peoples.
