About Oakford
Oakford is an outer rural suburb of Perth in the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale, Western Australia, located 36 kilometres south of the Perth CBD. Predominantly rural in character with trees and fields, the suburb is named from a townsite briefly declared in 1926. Oakford is home to Borrello Cheese, which has operated for over 40 years producing Italian-style cheeses. Major roads include Thomas Road, Nicholson Road and the Tonkin Highway, with an extension through Oakford to Jarrahdale under construction.
