About Kewdale
Kewdale is an inner-eastern suburb about 8 km from Perth's CBD in the City of Belmont, named in 1895 after Kew in England. A suburb of two halves, the western portion is residential while the eastern portion is one of Perth's largest industrial and logistics centres, anchored by the Kewdale Freight Terminal which handles metropolitan rail freight. Tomato Lake, a popular recreational reserve expanded in 1982 on land originally used for tomato farming in 1910, is a notable landmark.
