About Queens Park (WA)
Queens Park is a suburb about 11 km east of Perth's CBD in the City of Canning, originally named Woodlupine before being renamed in 1912 to honour Queen Alexandra, wife of King Edward VII. Known for heritage landmarks including the Chapel of the Guardian Angel, Sister Kate's Children's Home linked to the Stolen Generations, and Queens Park railway station serving the Armadale and Thornlie lines. The suburb features bushland reserves, eleven parks and one regional park, and is home to several of Canning's oldest schools.
