About Noranda
Noranda is a middle- to upper-middle class residential suburb about 12 km northeast of Perth's CBD in the City of Bayswater. Bounded by Reid Highway and Tonkin Highway with substantial development from the late 1960s, the suburb is known for Lightning Swamp Bushland, a 71.3-hectare A-class reserve containing rare perched wetlands, over 150 plant species and habitat for water birds including the Eastern Great Egret. Noranda Square Shopping Centre is a local landmark.
