About Weering
Weering is a rural locality in the Western District of Victoria, situated north of Colac and east of Lake Corangamite near the fertile Warrion Hills. Settlement began in the early 1860s with subdivided farms, and the area has long supported agriculture and grazing on its gently undulating land. The locality retains its historical name through Lake Weering, a salt lake to the east.
