About Warrong

Warrong is a locality in the Shire of Moyne in south-western Victoria, about 30 kilometres from Warrnambool. The district is primarily agricultural, based on sheep and cattle grazing, and was formerly within the Shire of Minhamite, which merged into Moyne Shire in 1994. The town grew from the Warrong Estate, a pastoral property subdivided in 1920 into soldier settlement blocks for returned servicemen.
