About Wando Vale
Wando Vale is a pastoral district in western Victoria, about 8 kilometres north-east of Casterton, named after an 1840 grazing run taken up by John G. Robertson. The area features distinctive hummocks along the Wando River, a tributary of the Glenelg, and was subdivided for closer-settlement farms around 1900, with grazing and dairying as the primary industries.
