About Allansford

Allansford is a town in the Western District of Victoria, Australia, located 10 kilometres east of Warrnambool in the City of Warrnambool. The Hopkins River flows through the town, named after the Allan brothers who established a ford here in 1839. It is home to the Warrnambool Cheese and Butter factory, established in 1888 and later associated with Kraft Walker. Allansford marks the end of the Great Ocean Road and features the Premier Speedway and Jubilee Park.
