About Burramine

Burramine is a rural locality in the Shire of Moira, adjacent to the township of Yarrawonga in north-eastern Victoria. Situated near the Murray River on flat irrigated agricultural land, it is part of the broader Yarrawonga-Mulwala district. The name derives from the Yarroweyah pastoral run taken up by Elizabeth Hume in 1842, one of the oldest homesteads in the district.
