About Pimpinio
Pimpinio is a town in the Rural City of Horsham in the Wimmera region of Victoria, Australia, about 15 kilometres north of Horsham. The name is thought to derive from an Aboriginal word describing a man squatting on his heels. A hotel and blacksmith shop were established in the area around 1870, and the town grew after the Horsham-to-Dimboola railway line reached it in 1882.
