About Peronne
Peronne is a large rural locality in the West Wimmera Shire of western Victoria, about 20 kilometres from Kaniva and 385 kilometres from Melbourne. Settled around 1885 for sheep grazing on what was once Buloke and eucalypt woodland on the Wimmera plains, the heritage-listed Peronne Memorial Hall was erected in 1957.
