About Lubeck
Lubeck is a small rural town spanning the Shire of Northern Grampians and the Shire of Yarriambiack in Victoria, about 245 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. Named by German settler H.W. Lutze after the city of Lubeck in northern Germany, the town was established when the railway line was extended westward to Horsham in 1879 and is characterised by broad agricultural land in the Wimmera district.
