About Lake Tyrrell
Lake Tyrrell is a locality in the Mallee district of north-west Victoria, around Victoria's largest salt lake, six kilometres north of the town of Sea Lake. The lake, whose name comes from the Wergaia word for 'sky', develops a shallow winter covering of water that gives it a famous mirror-like surface, drawing photographers who come to view its starry night skies.
