About Kooreh
Kooreh is a rural locality in the Shire of Northern Grampians, approximately 189 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. The area sits at an elevation of around 250 metres and comprises open farmland and scattered bushland in the Wimmera region. Kooreh is known for its Memorial Hall, built in 1923 to honour district soldiers, and for a monument to the explorer Major Thomas Mitchell.
