About Glenorchy (Vic.)
Glenorchy is a town in the Wimmera district of Victoria, Australia, on the Wimmera River in the Northern Grampians Shire, 257 kilometres (160 mi) north-west of Melbourne. The town grew from the Four Posts Inn, opened in 1847, and was surveyed in 1850 and named after Glen Orchy in Scotland.
