About Keilor Downs
Keilor Downs is a suburb in Melbourne about 18 kilometres north-west of the central business district, in the City of Brimbank. The suburb developed from the early 1990s, when its post office opened in 1990, and is believed to have once held a large Aboriginal settlement. Its main retail centre is Keilor Central, and facilities include the Brimbank Leisure Centre, a police station and a community centre. The Green Gully Reserve, a former tip site converted into a nature reserve that has been reforested with thousands of native seedlings since 2011, is the home of Green Gully SC.
