About Kealba
Kealba is a suburb of Melbourne, about 15 kilometres north-west of the central business district, in the City of Brimbank. Its name is a combination of its neighbouring suburbs Keilor and St Albans, chosen by a community group in 1970 for the local secondary college and later adopted for the suburb, which was previously known as St Albans East. Residential development began in the late 1960s. The suburb's eastern boundary is a linear park along the Maribyrnong River, with wetlands where Taylors Creek joins the river.
