About Cocoroc

Cocoroc is a locality in the City of Wyndham, about 37 kilometres south-west of Melbourne. The township was founded in 1894 to house workers and their families at the Werribee Sewage Farm, now the Western Treatment Plant, and at its peak was home to around 500 people. Its name is said to mean 'frog'. The site is now uninhabited and lies within the treatment plant estate.
