About Warrandyte
Warrandyte is a suburb in the outer east of Melbourne, on a bend of the Yarra River. It was the site of Victoria's first official gold discovery, made at Andersons Creek in 1851, and the historic Main Street is now a designated conservation area. Much of the surrounding bushland, including Pound Bend on the Yarra, falls within the Warrandyte State Park.
