About Yinnar South

Yinnar South is a rural locality in the Latrobe Valley of Victoria, with low-density homes scattered through rolling farmland and native bush known for its soft tree ferns. Its small school, opened in 1886, still operates, and the district's best-known landmark is the tiny Holy Innocents Church of 1894 on Middle Creek Road, one of the smallest churches in Australia. A sawmill established in 1911 was an early local industry.
