About Budgeree
Budgeree is a rural locality in hilly country about 20 kilometres south of Morwell, situated between the Latrobe Valley and the Strzelecki Ranges. The name derives from an Aboriginal word meaning good place, and the area was first settled for mixed farming and dairying in the 1870s, with creameries supplying a dairy factory at Yinnar.
