About Yalmy

Yalmy is a remote, forested locality in East Gippsland, bordering the high country of the Snowy River National Park, which drains via the Yalmy River into the Snowy. Yalmy Road is the main access into the park's northern section, where the 43-kilometre Deddick Trail four-wheel-drive track begins. A small endemic freshwater fish, the Yalmy galaxias, is named for the area.
