About Waratah Bay
Waratah Bay is a small coastal town in the South Gippsland region of Victoria, about 180 kilometres south-east of Melbourne and 45 kilometres south of Leongatha. Situated on the shore of Waratah Bay, an arc of nearly 20 kilometres of flat sandy beach framed by Cape Liptrap and Wilsons Promontory, it is a popular holiday destination known for its sweeping coastline, rockpool marine life and seasonal whale watching.
