About Tanjil Bren
Tanjil Bren is a town in Victoria, on the Mount Baw Baw Tourist Road 12 kilometres west of Mount Baw Baw in the Shire of Baw Baw. It was established during the Victorian gold rush. Tanjil Lodge, which began as the town general store and later housed the post office until 1971, now operates as accommodation, along with lodges including Mooshead, Reindeer and Timbertop. The town has a cold rainforest climate with high rainfall between May and November and heavy snowfalls that can occur even in late spring and early summer.
